Just a quick explanation concerning our name, logo, & motto.

• Our Name: we chose the name Keystone Christian Church for several reasons. 1) It is a name common to businesses and parks in this part of PA. 2) As a new church we knew it was likely that we would change locations so we don't want a name that identified us with one location i.e. Murrysville, Export, or Delmont. 3) The name Keystone is a fitting name for Jesus because a Keystone is placed at the head of an arch and all the other stones lean upon and are supported by this one stone. In the same way Jesus is the head of the church and it is on Him that we lean and gain support. 3) We use the name Christian because it is a Biblical name meaning "belonging to" Christ. Our name means that the church belongs to Jesus not to some individual man.
• Our Logo: we incorporated the idea of an arch with a Keystone at the top. The "t" lands in the Keystone forming a cross at the top of the arch which represents Christ. Sometimes we include the Greek word logos in the stones at the bottom of the logo. This word means "the Word" it is a reference to John 1:1 and also to other scriptures which call any Biblical writing logos. This symbolizes that we want our church to be founded upon Jesus' word--the Bible. We have no desire to follow man made traditions which conflict with what the Bible teaches.
• Our Motto: "focused on Jesus, founded on His word" means the same thing as the logo. At Keystone we work hard to keep the focus on Jesus. We believe that when Jesus is put in the proper place of headship then the other activities of the church will fall into place as well including evangelism, mission work, and helping others. If you visit us at Keystone you will realize that we are serious about making an in-depth study of God's word. The reason is that only the New Testament reveals how we are to be saved, what the church should practice, and how it should function.
